Spring has sprung!

Spring has sprung and May is here. Typically, when spring arrives, we are out and about excited by the change of seasons. This year spring is a bit different; Wisconsin has extended the Safer at Home order until May 26th. With that, the SCI Management office asks you to practice Social Distancing and to stay home to ensure safety in our Overlook Lakes community.

Even though quarantine has been extended, some restrictions have been loosened.  Wisconsin State Parks are now open for those who have a park pass. Golf courses have also opened. Use of these facilities must follow Social Distancing Rules, or those posted in the order.  These are great outdoor activities to do during this time, as a reminder, please be mindful to keep your distances from others. Along with those openings, some non-essential businesses have been allowed to open for curbside or no-contact pick up: such as Libraries, and Arts and Craft stores.

Spring also brings longer days, which is seemingly adding to our more free-time. Getting outdoors in this beautiful May weather is a great idea for an activity. If you are looking for an indoor activity, cooking is a great skill to perfect. Better weather also changes our eating habits, so why not try out new recipes! Some farmers markets will open in May; buying locally grown fresh ingredients for your meals is also fun thing to try.  Most grocery stores are now offering curbside pick-up or delivery, so it is convenient for you to have fresh foods in your apartment. May is the time for artichokes, asparagus, cucumbers, zucchinis, pineapples, strawberries, and more! Try to incorporate these fresh produce items in your next meal.

Overlook Lakes has whirlpool appliances including a full-sized range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer.  Each apartment also has a private patio or balcony. Great spring weather, fresh food, and your personal patio are a great combination for May’s Safer at Home order.

The Overlook Lakes Management Office would like to thank you again for your cooperation during this time. If you have any questions or concerns please give the office a call, so we can assist you during these unprecedented times.  Our tenants and their homes are our first priority. We want to assure that you and the community stays safe and healthy. Unfortunately due to the extended Safer At Home order, the pool will not open for Memorial Day weekend like it has in the past.  We must follow the State and the CDC’s guidelines at this time.  As we monitor all of the guideline updates, we will inform you as soon as we have a pool opening date.
